Akki: Supersingers: Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham By IndiaFM News Bureau, November 18, 2005 - 01:50 IST Going by the ‘track’ record of Sanjay Gupta films, the expectations from the music of his films are always high. Irrespective of their box office fate, the music of his last two films, Kaante and Musafir has been very successful. Gupta’s good friend, Sanjay Dutt will be singing again, for the forthcoming Zinda. The track is titled Kabhi Muskurana and has been composed by Vishal and Shekhar along with inputs from Dutt himself. For Dutt, it is as good as tradition to sing for Gupta’s films. But the surprise package for this one is John Abraham, who will be singing for the first time. Titled Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani, the song is sung by Faisal and Bilal (of the band Strings). Sanjay Dutt has some lines whereas John has done a voiceover. Remix versions of both the tracks are being worked upon by Nikhil Chinappa and some London based musicians. The video of Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani will be launched on November 20th on MTV. Zinda also stars Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and Mahesh Manjrekar and will release on January 13th 2006. Akki: JAANEMAN… and they lived happily ever after Saajid Nadiadwala’s Salman-Akshay-Preity starrer JAANEMAN will now be called JAANEMAN… AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. The new title has been specially aligned to create positive vibrations for the film, according to Nadiadwala. “That’s also one of the reasons why the word ‘happily’ has been made part of the title. After the initial hiccups I faced when I started the film, a few friends suggested that I change the title to create a positive feel for the film. That’s how we arrived at the new title,” Nadiadwala reveals. According to him, the new title has already started creating positive vibes for the film ever since he decided to incorporate it. “Things are moving exactly according to plans and the delays have also been minimized. Besides, the cast and the crew of the film have started sharing a great bonding with each other after the 45-day New York schedule of the film,” he recalls. The news also goes that Akshay and Salman have become great friends post the New York schedule of the film. “That’s right. Earlier the two were on hi… hello terms. Now they have become the best of friends and I am happy for both of them,” he says. It may be remembered that JAANEMAN started off on a sour note with Salman Khan and Akshay reportedly having a showdown, after which the transcripts of the Salman-Aishwara tapes surfaced in the news, which forced the former to cancel the Mumbai schedule of the film. Subsequently there were reports that Salman was unlikely to get permission for the New York schedule, since the police were reluctant to release his passport. “There were a few starting problems but they were unnecessarily blown out of proportions. However I decided that I did not want any more hiccups in the progress of the film, which is why I decided to sort out things in the right perspective. Changing the title was one of them,” says Nadiadwala. Meanwhile he is all praise for debut-making director Shirish Kunder. “He is a committed director and a great person to work with. He’s likely to go way ahead in the future,” he says.
