Akki: First Look: Phir Hera Pheri Question: What's better than three really funny men? Answer: Three men and a babe! It is with such infallible logic that Bipasha Basu joins the party in the much-awaited sequel to Hera Pheri. While the original was directed by comic veteran Priyadarshan, this sequel is helmed by Neeraj Vora, who scripted the dialogues for both films. In Phir Hera Pheri, the story begins with our flawed heroes having made a lot of moolah. But what to do with it? Despite Baburao (Paresh Rawal) and his strong protests, the cheeky Raju (Akshay Kumar) decides to invest their cash in a risky venture. Shyam (Sunil Shetty) is helpless, as always, as the trio get entangled in some fresh new chaos. And Bips isn't the only addition to the cast. The hilarious Rajpal Yadav also stars in PHP, as another investor in the farcical financial scheme Raju falls for. Phir Hera Pheri hits theatres on June 9.
Akki: Yes, Reshammiya does sing in 'Phir Hera Pheri' IndiaGlitz [Monday, April 24, 2006] Since the time the promos of 'Phir Hera Pheri' came out and the credits showed Himesh Reshammiya as the music composer, there were speculations around whether the new found rock star would be lending his vocals for this film too. Well, the suspense [though only for a short while] is out as Akshay Kumar lip syncs to a peppy romantic song by Reshammiya. "A new look Rimmi Sen dances opposite Akshay in this glittering number titled 'Mujhe Yaad Sataye Teri' for which the sound has been electronically modified to further enhance upon Reshammiya's now-famous-and-accepted-nasal-twang.

В общем, "три по-настоящему смешных мужчины и телка" должно быть приколько (как минимум ) Еще чутка не в тему, но... В интервью (2000г.) Пареша спрасили про "Горе-вымогателей", и как так получилось, что его герой, вроде такой незначительный по сценарию, в итоге стал едва ли не самым смешным во всем фильме и выбился в главные. Парешик ответил, что это - заслуга всей команды в целом, они его как бы вдохновляли и помогали

Akki: ‘I’m at a commercial peak’: Akshay Kumar Saturday April 29 2006 17:08 IST Akshay Kumar Do you feel you’ve evolved as an actor? I’m a very greedy actor. I want to keep on trying new roles. When people say I’m successful and that I should be happy, my answer is no I am not. It’s no longer about doing central roles or increasing my bank balance. Now it’s about doing roles that would take my career further. So, as an actor you have think I’ve evolved? But I’m not satisfied. What are the new challenges you’re facing as an actor? Pritish Nandy Communications’ Rahgeer is one film I’m looking forward to. It gives me the chance to go into an area I’ve never been into. It’s a big challenge since I’ve never worked with Rituparno Ghosh before. In fact, this would be my first film with a director of his sensitivity. We’ve had several meetings and I’m quite happy with the way we’re connecting. I’m sure it would be as much of a challenge for Ritu as much as for me. Rahgeer gives you another author-backed role. And it does make me feel responsible. Once an actor reaches the position I have, he has to take a lot of responsibilities. If I have the right to stand on the roof tops to say Garam Masala worked because I was part of the cast, then I should also have the guts to stand up and own up to the failure of Deewane Huey Paagal. That’s why I’m concentrating harder on my work than ever before. At the moment, I’m shooting for Priyadarshan’s Bhaagam-Bhag. We’ve worked together before. But it feels like the first time. I’ve never seen you more fiercely focused on your career. I have to be. There’s no other way to survive. Apart from concentrating on my career, there’s little I can do to hold on to the position I’ve earned. How do you react to being called the only viable leading man after the Khans? I take it sportingly, though I don’t see what the surname has to be with success. Shah Rukh and Salman are successful because they are talented. I’ve my own niche. And I don’t think I want to be compared with anyone. I’ve handled my career in my own way. So far, I’ve been lucky. Am I successful? I don’t know. I’m at a commercial peak. I want to jump to the other peak where I can be recognized as an actor. You’re working with Govinda for the first time in Bhaagam-Bhag. Yes, I’ve just finished shooting two songs with him. I really enjoyed working with Govinda. I think Priyadarshan really helped me do subtle comedy in Hera Pheri (which was a turning point in his career). Now he’s giving Govinda the same opportunity to go subtle with the comedy. But I wouldn’t call Bhaagam-Bhag a comedy. It’s a thriller. Do you foresee charges of you tampering with Govinda’s role in Bhaagam-Bhag? I don’t think so. There’s no point in arguing with people who spread such baseless rumours. There ain’t any truth to it. And these charges say more about the director than me. Because if you say I was able to chop off a co-star’s role you’re actually saying that the director is incompetent. That’s why I told these rumour-mongers I’ll no longer tamper with my co-stars’ roles on the editing table. I’ll do it straight at the script level. ( юморист ) Please, it isn’t the actor’s job to do such things. Thankfully, you’re the solo hero in your new release Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. It’s a totally new experience for me. You know, all love stories end with the couple living happily after. This story begins from the point where the perfect couple’s happiness ends when one of them falls in love with somebody else. Again, this film gives me a chance to be seen in a new light.

Ace Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh and National Awards winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma are teaming up for a comedy. The-yet-to-title film will be a double version film. Tollywood superstar Prosenjit will play the lead in the Bengali version and a Bollywood hero in the Hindi version. If rumours to be believed, it is Akshay Kumar, who can play in the film opposite Konkona. As per a source, close to Rituparno Ghosh, the director of 'Chokher Bali' is seriously contemplating on Akshay Kumar for the role.
