Ygu: BollywoodWorld.com News Desk Mumbai, The much talked about Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai marriage has sparked off a lot of speculation about Ash's future assignments. However, Ram Gopal Varma confirms he's going ahead with "Sarkar 2" as per plans, as has Karan Johar's chief assistant Tarun Mansukhani. Aishwarya has also said yes to Shridhar Raghavan's "Happy Birthday" with John Abraham, in principle. "She goes into all these assignments as soon as she completes 'Jodha-Akbar'. There's absolutely no reason to think she'd quit working after marriage. Everyone in the two families is very supportive of Aishwarya's career. And that includes Jaya Bachchan," a source close to Aishwarya told IANS. In the light of these declarations, the contention that the actress would back out of her commitments including Vicky ("Fight Club") Chopra's "Raaste", seems implausible. Says "Raaste" producer Suniel Shetty: "My film with Chopra is very much on. But I'm in no hurry to start it. A lot depends on when Abhishek and Aishwarya get married. This project needs a lot of pre-production preparation. So whenever they're comfortably placed we will go ahead with it. As a producer I want to make sure I don't stress anyone out." Aishwarya, who's currently ensconced in Karjat shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's "Jodha-Akbar", has the film fraternity agog to see her in her next two films with Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek. Says a young and very ambitious director: "I want to bring her together with both Abhishek and Hrithik, since she's proved herself a hit with them both in 'Guru' and 'Dhoom 2'. I'm working on a script and will approach them only after I'm completely satisfied that I can do full justice to all of them. "I've been assured by her secretary that Aishwarya has no plans for quitting. These rumours are being spread by people who would rather see her quit than conquer new heights. She has given two hits in a row and is more career-focussed now and determined to prove she's here to stay, than ever before." While she has the historical "Jodha-Akbar" with Hrithik, there are three projects with Abhishek in the pipeline. The elusive Rekha for one is dying to see "Jodha-Akbar". "I haven't seen 'Guru'. But I saw portions of 'Dhoom 2' and was very impressed by Aishwarya. That girl knows how to carry herself. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing her in 'Jodha-Akbar'," said Rekha. Laughs Gowariker: "I'm not daunted by people's expectations from Ash in 'Jodha-Akbar'. I don't know how well I'm directing. But she is certainly every bit the epitome of Jodha."

The guest list will be a close to 24, including the the Bachchan and Rai families and close friends like Amar Singh, the Ambanis. The shooting of the Hrithik-Ash film is now on at full throttle, only because ne wants to complete it on schedule. Says a source from the production unit in Karjat, "He wants to finish the shooting by the first week of April itself; that's why the shooting is going at full pace, sometimes even without breaks, to beat the shaadi deadline. And we have almost wrapped up the filming. No it's only a question of a few more shootings and its a wrap. We will finish before our schedule.Who knows, after film star shaadis, normally stars give preference to the honeymoon over the shooting. Not that Ash is like that." Back to Section Stories Posted On Friday, April 06, 2007 Ram Kamal Mukherjee Reports are that Ashutosh Gowarikar has ordered nearly 50 trucks of white sand from Jaipur, just to recreate the effect of in Karjat, where they're shooting now. The director who has been shooting for his magnum opus Jodha Akbar at Nitin Desai's Studio in Karjat for the last one month, panicked when he realised that Mumbai soil was not a patch on Jaipur soil. "He needed to take shots of animals and even the long shots would require detailed shots of the soil," says our source. Finally, Ashutosh decided to get trucks loaded with white sand from Jaipur to maintain continuity and not compromise on the production standards of his film. "The same type of sand from Jaipur was ordered so that the authenticity of the film was maintained. White sand is the speciality of Jaipur and they couldn't cheat audiences by using anything else. Finally, huge trucks full of white sands were imported from Jaipur and nearly 65 employees were asked to spread the sands all over," says our source. A good many lakhs of rupees were spent in this exercise though, even though exact figures are difficult to obtain. This historical film is based on the life of Jodhabai and Mughal emperor Akbar. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai play the lead roles. "The soil of Mumbai anyway absorbs heat which can get unbearable. But now these white sands are something that absorb even more heat during the summer. So, most of the actors are finding it difficult to give their shots. There are some scenes where character artistes are required to give shots barefoot since in those days, people used to walk without shoes. This is becoming a bit of a problem situation since most of the actors are professional and Ashutosh is making it sure that everyone is treated with equal comfort," says our source.
