wichy: отсюда - интервью с Ашкой. AISHWARYA RAI Bachchan’s hands are full with projects from Hollywood, Bollywood and endorsements. She is sizzling after her marriage with junior Bachchan, Abhishek and has even put on a little weight. Thanks to her sweet tooth. No wonder, she is all dazzling and excited about her future. Excerpts from an interview Q: When do you get time to introspect? Has the real Aishwarya changed or evolved over the years? Aishwarya: I steal the time to introspect and I am not telling you when…(laughs). You define your own professional ethics or rules and it’s an individual choice. Right from my modelling days, the industry has been very welcoming and I was given the freedom to chart my own course. I have been blessed to push the envelope all along, be it in the choices I make or the roles I play to just the professional mode. There is an incredible power in the word ‘no’. If it’s your conscious decision, go ahead and make them but most of all, believe your decision and have a conviction. Q: You have taken India to the global platform… Aishwarya: It’s nice to be accorded and acknowledged at a global level and I am glad to be catalyst to the cause. It is because the present time is exciting and eventful in terms of international attention. Q:Some saw a hint of Rekha in Umrao Jaan… Aishwarya: I had been very committed to JP Dutta’s vision with all sincerity and had tried to bring to life what he had conceived in this epic saga. As far as comparisons are concerned, I consider myself very lucky to be spoken in the same breath as someone who is as iconic and special as Rekhaji. I remember I had met her at a store long before I started acting. She had said that I was going to be in the films and would do great. It was so sweet of her to express her belief in me at that stage of my career. Who knew then that I would get a chance to essay her role and that too of Umrao Jaan! Q:Most of your films are for an urban audience. What about the rural ones? Aishwarya: I consider myself very fortunate to have enjoyed a fantastic support from a widespread section of audience. Be it Indian, overseas, elderly or children, they have all given me lots of love. I am very thankful for that kind of love and support because it has given me the confidence and strength of enjoying myself and explore different genres, be it art, commercial or historical, I have done it all. So, you can’t pinpoint, my films for urban or rural audience. Take for example, Jodha Akbar. It’s a historical film and everyone enjoyed it. It’s the films, which find its own audience and it’s not fair for you and me to sit here and assess, which film is for urban and which is for rural audience or an Indian market or an overseas market. Frankly, if we knew the answer to that business would be way different. I think, we are still searching that formula, but it is definitely an exciting time that different genres of movies are being made and the audience is giving the industry the confidence to invest in different subjects and making our time as actors very exciting. Q: Tell something about your Hollywood projects. Aishwarya: I have been reading scripts from Hollywood, but I will let time decide on these things. There is the possibility of a movie with Will Smith and I am very excited about it because the script is fabulous and no doubt, he is a great actor and is a funny companion to work with. Q: What is your beauty mantra? Aishwarya: Beauty and fitness is all within. Be true and real to yourself and be your best friend. I work out as my schedule permits and it keeps me on my toes. I have a bad hair day or a bad zit day like anybody else. I think excesses are not good. I don’t believe in diet. I enjoy food and I eat everything. In fact, I have a major sweet tooth. Q:Who’s your favourite designer in India? Aishwarya: I would not like to name anyone in particular because many of them are my friends. I think it is fantastic the impact and the impression we have been making and it’s only growing now globally.

Happy with Aishwarya’s commitment, director Shankar has even decided to give her a break when Mani Ratnam’s film shoot starts. At present, a song is being filmed on Aishwarya and Rajinikanth for Enthiram in Machu Picchu, an ancient temple site erected by Inca Indians in Peru. Meanwhile, the public’s curiosity is stoked up by the promos of Enthiram. Most of the walls in Chennai are covered by posters depicting a robot modelled after the superstar Rajinikanth. Amita: Fresh : не ремейк ли это "Bicentennial Man" с Робином Уильямсом? а ведь возможно ! не сами же индусы придумали сюжет ,а Bicentennial Man(Двухсотлетний человек в русском переводе) подходит идеально !! Мужская роль огромна и многогранна -робот на пути к становлению человеком ,сначала почти неосознанно влюблен в хозяйку дома ,позже находит свою уже очеловеченную любовь во внучке "хозяйки" и желание закончить рядом с ней жизнь ,добиваясь тем самым быть признанным существом человеческим! Кочмар,кочмар!!!! Я так люблю этот фильм ,игру Робина Уильямса..а в этом фильме обожаю его ,а тут это Чёрт -Раджникант Боже,представляю ,как он испохабит своим присутствием кино ,Боже,не представляю Ашку в его объятиях единственное что сходится в этом проекте -двухсотлетний чел. -Раджни ,тут не поспоришь ,возраст подходит идеально !!! Абсолютно теперь уверенна ,что этот проект будет именно таким .....КАК ЖАЛЬ

At the moment, she's in Peru giving all she's got to her part as Rajnikant's love interest in Shankar's Tamil film, Robot. After that, Ash will return to the country and get busy with Mani Ratnam's next film, Raavan. The film is a sensuous contemporary Hindi take on the Ramayana, in which Aishwarya will be playing a classical singer for the first time in her career. And there will be no half-measures for Aishwarya. A source says, "Aishwarya will be learning classical singing for this role. Ideally, she'd like to sing all her songs in Raavan, herself . She's a very good singer in real life. But not good enough to sing classical songs on screen with aplomb. So, like Shabana Azmi in Morning Raga Aishwarya intends to take lessons in how to look convincing as a singer. She'll be regularly taking lessons in classical singing from a guru." Aishwarya will also do riyaaz before she starts shooting for Raavan in October. "She wants to make sure she doesn't goof up in the scenes in which she'll be singing on screen," adds the source. Mani Ratnam Not just that, since Aishwarya's mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan had played a singer in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Abhimaan, Aishwarya also plans to watch the film to get it right. The source says, "Ash was in any case planning to see Abhimaan again because Rajiv Menon is remaking Abhimaan with her and Abhishek in the lead role. Now, she'll be observing her mother-in-law even more closely to take tips on how to look convincing as a singer." Interestingly, ma-in-law Jaya had closely observed melody queen Lata Mangeshkar before playing a singer in Abhimaan. The family that sings together stays together! Поскольку певиц в классическом стиле она ни разу не играла, сейчас она учится классическому пению, чтобы убедительно выглядеть в роли. В идеале - она сама исполнит все песни в фильме, поскольку в жизни она вполне неплохо поет - хотя пока и недостаточно хорошо, чтобы спеть с экрана (сильно сумлеваюсь, что их классическому пению можно научиться столь быстро. У Ашки голосок приятный и слух есть, однако так, чтобы звучало афигенно... если только она будет по фильму не очень хорошей певицей... ) Кроме того, Ашка решила пересмотреть фильм свекра и свекрови Abhimaan, где Джая тоже играла певицу. Она и так собиралась сделать это - поскольку его собирается ремейкнуть Раджив Менон с Ашкой и Аби в главных ролях, а тут уж сам бог велел. Pehli baar This is the first time an Indian film has been shot at the location that is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. An elaborate song with local dancers was shot with Ash and Rajni. A source reveals, "The song has Ash dressed up in a colorful ensemble with ostrich feathers and colourful beads. " After their schedule at Peru, the crew will move to Brazil and shoot at the famous Iguaco waterfalls. "Shankar is shooting major actions sequences in the lush green forests of Peru. The Iguaco falls is the same place where Steven Spielberg shot his climax chase scenes for the latest Indian Jones film Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Shankar plans to shoot not one but two songs during his stay in South America. "A R Rahman has given the music to the songs which will be choreographed by Raju Sundaram."
