Jail authorities confirmed that actor would be given a medical check up today to decide whether he should be taken to government-run Sasoon hospital. Sanjay, who suffers from blood pressure is also a heavy smoker. Meanwhile, ardent fans of the actor continued to throng outside the Yerawada jail in the hope of getting a glimpse of the actor. It may be recalled that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment by designated TADA court Judge R D Kode on July 31 under the Arms Act for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. The film, which also stars Ishaa Koppikar and Lillette Dubey, is being produced by Tony Juneja and features music by Pritam. Barua said he was keen on pairing Bachchan with Dimple Kapadia. “But Dimple opted out due to some family problems and Lillette Dubey replaced her,” he said. Bachchan plays the role of Zinta’s father in Har Pall. “Amitabh Bachchan’s character has a sub-plot in Kolkata for which shooting will be done there. “A majority of the shooting will be in Mumbai,” Barua said. Another Hindi venture of his, Butterfly Chase, which stars Yashpal Sharma and Gauri Karnik, is awaiting release. “There are some formalities left with the producers of Butterfly Chase and I hope they would be sorted out soon.” The filmmaker, who hails from Assam, said his aim is to reach out to a larger audience. “It’s an honour when people across the world appreciate your work.” Barua’s Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara was named the best film at Japan’s Fukuoka International Film Festival and was given the Kodak Vision Award that comprised a citation, a trophy and negative raw stock for shooting a future movie. The film, which starred Anupam Kher and Urmila Matondkar, told the poignant story of a retired professor (Kher) suffering from bouts of forgetfulness. It also received the best actor award in the Karachi Film Festival, the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) award for best film at the International Film Festival, Mumbai (IFFM) and the best film, best actor and audience choice awards at the Riverside International Film Festival in California. It was also screened at the Dubai Film Festival. Barua’s Halodhiya Choraye Baodhan Khai (Catastrophe) won the President’s Swarna Kamal for the best feature film in 1987, while Hkhagoroloi Bohu Door (It’s A Long Way To The Sea) received the Swarna Kamal for best director in 1996. His Firingoti (Spark) won the second best film national award and best actress award for Moloya Goswami. The Best Film Award was given to Buddhadeb Dasgupta for Kaalpurush. The Indira Gandhi Award for Best Director For The First Film went to Pradeep Sarkar for Parineeta. The Best Popular film for wholesome entertainment went to UTV's Rang De Basanti while the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film On National Integration went to the Malayalam film, Daivanamathil. Iqbal won the Best Film On Social Issues and Naseeruddin Shah also won the best supporting actor for the same film. Vishal Bhardwaj's to-be-released film Blue Umbrella got the Best Children's Film Award and the Best Supporting Actress award went to Malayalam actress Urvashi for Achhuvinte Amma. 'Metro' is reporting that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty "has been described as the 'perfect leading lady'" for Bond 22 (next in the series of James Bond flicks). The article goes on to claim that a deal is imminent between Shilpa and the film's producers, who are described as desperate for a star who "sells out cinemas across Asia." If this indeed turns out to be true then sky would indeed be a limit for Shilpa Shetty whose newfound international celebrity status has resulted in movie makers across the world wake up to her talent. wichy: отсюда The rumour doing the rounds in the industry is that Akshay Kumar has been signed for Shirish Kunder’s ambitious super hero project Joker.Shahrukh Khan was initially to do the film but after many repeated meetings with Kunder, King Khan wanted Kunder to make the story more appealing and was never happy with the final drafts which were been given to him. So the project had reportedly been put on hold until the story became substantial enough. Suddenly now there are rumours that Akshay Kumar has been signed by Kunder to do the film. As the film was going to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house earlier, Kunder must have found another backer for his project in order to sign Akshay Kumar if the rumour is true. Meanwhile King Khan and Khiladi Kumar bonded very well when they shot for Heyy Babyy together that the Khiladi has returned the favour that Khan did by appearing in a song for Hey Babyy by making a guest appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s home production Om Shanti Om. This has propelled him to bow down to requests of postponing his re-incarnation saga ahead by a week, letting go the most lucrative week considered for Bollywood.” “The Chak De India star was first told to push OSO ahead by 2-3 weeks which would have meant a direct clash with Yash Raj’s Aaja Nachle, scheduled for November 30. "Justice prevails and our faith in the judiciary stands vindicated," producer-director Sanjay Gupta, Dutt's close friend, said. Rohit Roy, another friend of Dutt's and his costar in the film Shootout At Lokhandwala [Images], added, "It is great news. We were hoping he would get bail." The relief, however, is temporary as the Supreme Court will further decide on the case after the final draft of the TADA judgment is handed over to Dutt. The actor was granted interim bail by a bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan on the ground that he did not possess a copy of the judgment. The actor was sentenced to six years in jail under the Arms Act, along with other 1993 blasts accused on July 31 by TADA court judge, P D Kode. The actor will be released from Yerwada jail in Pune on Tuesday after spending 21 days in jail. Dutt has already served 16 months in jail in 1994-95. His sister Priya Dutt told reporters that she was happy about her brother's release, and that she had full faith in the judiciary. Dutt may be able to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on August 28 with his family. Speaking from Dubai, director Mahesh Bhatt [Images] said, "Andhere kamre mein thodi si hawa aai hai lekin abhi kamra khula nahi hai (Some air has entered the dark room, but the room is still locked)." Industry sources said it was unlikely that producers would start any of the films soon, until it was clear what period of time the actor would remain out of jail. "It is the result of prayers of millions that he got justice," Subhash Ghai [Images] says. "My family and I are extremely happy that now Sanju can breath." It has been a long and tiring journey for the 48-year-old actor whose name surfaced during the investigation into the March 12, 1993, serial blasts that killed 257 people and injured hundreds of others. Даты съемок еще неизвестны, поскольку сначала надо выпустить RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG, DARLING и SARKAR RAJ, РГВ сожалеет, что не может сделать фильм с Шахом. В настоящее время RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG и DARLING готовы и выходят друг за другом 31 августа и 7 сентября, SARKAR RAJ готов уже на 80% и вероятнее всего выйдет на экраны в декабре. К тому же РГВ продюсирует несколько проектов.

laki: Сегодня по радио слышала, что у нас будет проводиться какое- то мероприятие в рамках программы " дни Индийской культуры в России" , обещали классические танцы и что-то ещё правда всего один день - 25 августа.
OLA: Salman Khan, the macho man of the bollywood, is once again in trouble, as his appeal against the five year jail term given by the local court in the black buck case, has been rejected by the Jodhpur session court. Though Salman Khan was not present on the occasion, the judge went on to pronounce the judgment and ordered the Khan to surrender on Monday. Otherwise he could be arrested by the police from any part of the world. As Salman Khan’s lawyer Dipesh Mehta says, ‘ The honorable court has turned down Salman Khan’s appeal and has upheld the earlier order. His co-accused Govardan Singh has been considered and he has been acquitted. Since the court did not direct Salman to be present in court, there was no need for him to be there. A revision can be filed and it’s his right to exercise all options available to him. Salman respects the court order.’ However as Salman Khan’s offence is bailable, he can move the Rajasthan High court against the judgment and get a bail from there. But till the time he gets bail from the court he will have to go to jail to serve the jail term. Presently, Salman Khan has been shooting for his upcoming Boney Kapoor’s flick which is a Hindi remake of Telugu film ‘ Pokhiri’ and could not attend the Court proceedings in Jodhpur due to a missed flight. We are also adding a special song in the remake and intend to use it the first half of the film. For Tina Munim's role, a new girl will be taken." Urmila's career got some attention after she did Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag recently. Now, this Karz remake could give her career the much-needed second lease of life. "I have always done challenging roles and when I was offered the Karz remake, I knew I had to do it, and do it to the best of my ability. The challenge lies not in looking old or young but in my fidelity to the character. Simi did a wonderful job in the original. Even the music in the film should be great," she says. Speaking about the song included in the film for her, she says, "I am very happy and from what I have been told, the song promises to be an outstanding one. However, right now it is too premature to talk about it. I am really looking forward to acting in the film, and to doing this special dance number." О, Урмиле скоро светит большой хит... Она только что подписалась на участие в ремейке Karz на роль Камини, которую в оригинале играла Сими Гаревал. Также в фильме будет песня, которую написали специально для нее. . Бхушант Кумар из T Series, продюсирующий фильм, говорит, что Урмила была первым выбором на роль и они счастливы, что она согласилась. Химеш думает так же. Это очень интересная роль для любого артиста, а Урмила талантлива и подтвертждала это много раз. Также она достаточно молода для этой роли.
