Rangilla: У меня вопрос немного не в тему. Насколько я понимаю, обычно такие звезды как Jayaa Mathur снимаются в фильмах по большей части, а не в сериалах. (исключение - Dishayen, где Jayaa играет одну из главных ролей), но вот например в Raat Hone ko hai я её (Джаю) видел в одной из историй, называется "SIKKA", так вот мне до сих пор непонятно. Обычно в Raat Hone ko hai снимаются актёры и актрисы, про которых даже ИНТЕРНЕТ ничего не находит (сам искал), да и в фильмах я их зачастую не видел. Ну, это ладно, еще понять можно -вроде сериал на любителя. -но у меня другой вопрос -КАКИМ ОБРАЗОМ И ПО КАКИМ МОТИВАМ та же Jayaa Mathur согласилась сняться в ЭТОМ сериале в ЭПИЗОДИЧЕСКОЙ РОЛИ? То есть - актеров в этом случае "убеждают" гонорары (всё таки Raat hone ko hai это не драма и не рейтинговый сериал) или Jayaa Mathur сама решила, скажем, для разнообразия, сняться и в триллере. Конечно и успешные триллеры случаются - RAAZ с Бипашей Басу, например, но специфика Raat Hone ko hai в том, что зачастую там не мелькают даже фактические имена ГЕРОЕВ. Вот мне и непонятно - либо создатели сериалов-ужастиков платят хорошо (что и знаменитости порой соглашаются) либо сами актёры разнообразят свой имидж. В Раате я знаю только про ДВУХ актеров (очень известных), которые там снялись - это Raj Kapoor и Jayaa Mathur - может там еще кто был, но это те, кого я сам видел. Я, к сожалению, не всегда присматривался к титрам

The cast and crew members will vouch that the fun factor can't get bigger than it did on the sets of Ajay's directorial venture U, Me Aur Hum. The film's unit had a blast when they went shooting on a cruise liner from Mumbai to Lakshwadeep Islands. Ajay pampered his unit members and how! On board were Ajay, Kajol with their daughter Nysa, Divya Dutta, Karan Khanna, Isha Sharwani, Sumit Raghavan and the other unit members. After working hard all day, the unit members partied hard every evening. Ajay Devgan made sure that the unit members were up at 4:30 am every morning and wrapped up at 6:30 pm every evening. "We would wrap up by 6:30 pm and then get ready for the parties that Ajay and Kajol threw every night. We often attended Karaoke nights. We weren't stressed and never felt that we had a hectic shooting schedule because we had so much fun while shooting. It was more like a picnic for all of us," says a source from the sets. Commenting on Ajay's caring nature the source adds, "We never knew that Ajay would take such good care of us. Actress Divya Dutta was injured on the sets while enacting her scene. Ajay made sure that she was promptly taken care of by a doctor." Divya Dutta says, "I did have a minor accident on the sets but Ajay and the unit members took great care and pampered me to the hilt. It was a picnic!" She shares her experience of working with Ajay. "Ajay is brilliant as a director and he knows his job really well. He knows exactly what he wants and explained the shot so well that our shots were usually approved in the very first take. He is also very secure as an actor," says Divya. The usually reticent Kajol also had a blast on the cruise liner. "Kajol added more zeal to the journey with her infectious spunk. She was a perfect co-star and host. We had a great time with her. The jokes and discussions with the couple were always great fun. It was also nice to see how wonderful she is as a mother. All the other passengers on the cruise liner were usually busy watching us have a great time," adds the source. The source says, "Ajay shuffled between playing three different roles. He is the film's producer, director and actor. He handled all his responsibilities really well. He was always busy while taking care of the sets, checking out the lights, explaining the scenes and getting us to rehearse our lines. He also took care of all the stars' needs. The unit members had to just say what they wanted and their wish was immediately fulfilled." "Ajay is a cool director. Once when the cruise liner was to halt at Lakshwadeep, we all wanted to get down and spend time on the island. Ajay deliberately wrapped up the shoot earlier that day so that we could disembark and have a great time." says the source. While producer says it’s because of special effects, trade believes it’s got too much competition this year Better Late Than Never: Abhishek Bachchan Buzz is that the release of Abhishek Bachchan’s mega-budget superhero adventure Drona, being directed by good friend Goldie Behl, has been delayed to next year thanks to his wedding to Aishwarya Rai. Says a source, “The second schedule of the film was to be shot in April-May, but because of the wedding, all the dates went haywire. What’s more, since the film is relying heavily on special effects, it’s going to be a long while before the film is out of post-production now.” ‘Effect’ive theory However, Shristi Behl, who is producing the film along with brother Goldie, says, “We never announced a release date so there’s no question of us delaying the release. The dates haven’t been pushed back. In fact, the next schedule of Drona is coming up in a couple of months. We know what we are doing and as far as we know we are on schedule.” Shrishti adds that Drona is not just a simple boy-meets-girl love story. “It’s very complicated film and requires heavy special effects. In fact, the SFX in Drona will be something you’ve never seen before. We’ve finished shooting about 50 per cent of the film, but in terms of special effects we’ve only covered about 10 per cent. A lot of work is left to be done on that front. By August, we will have a clear idea of how much more time we will need to complete the film,” adds Shristi. Heavy competition Better Late Than Never: AShrishti Behl Meanwhile, trade analyst Amod Mehra says that Drona was being touted as an end-of-the-year biggie release in trade circles, so he’s a bit surprised about the delay. “We heard Drona was being released in November, but now there’s talk of it being pushed to next year. The heavy special effects apart, it’s also possible that Drona is being delayed because there are so many biggies coming up at the end of this year. There’s Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar, Pradeep Sarkar’s Laga Chunari Mein Daag and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariyan. Chances are even Shah Rukh Khan might release Om Shanti Om around Diwali. Nobody wants to bring Drona aur phir rona with the likes of SRK, Yash Raj Films and Hrithik Roshan competing for eyeballs!” Релиз Drona отложен на следующий год. Пересматриваю небольшими кусочками Рангей - и на большее силы не хватает... вот появится что-то, что душа возжаждет - посмотрю... А на всякую ерунду лень время тратить... А вот чужие отзывы с удовольствием почитала бы... но видимо, не только мне лень смотреть...

And he succeeded in making an impact on the cream of the crop attending the festival with his acting, which opened to an overwhelming response. If Jolie, who plays Daniel’s wife in the film, got rave reviews for her performance, Irrfan’s too has managed to please all and sundry and the scribes gave him full marks for etching out the role of the head of a Pakistani counter-terrorism unit with perfection. James Rocchi of cinematical.com wrote in his review - a special praise has to go to Irrfan Khan. His character is the head of the new Pakistani anti-terrorism unit, and he’s a man torn between the public pronouncements of support for the West’s initiatives and the labyrinthine power-struggles of his government and massive public support for radical Islamic action. He is the face of a new kind of power in Pakistan, and his every line, every motion has the coiled power of a punch about to land, even in stillness. Indeed “A Mighty Heart” is a triumph for Irrfan. In the past veterans like Naseeruddin Shah and Om puri tried their luck in Hollywood with “The League of Extraordinary Gentleman”, “City of Joy” and “Mistress of Spices” respectively. But none could accomplish what Irrfan has achieved - for the first time an Indian actor is being praised in the same breath as Hollywood stars. However, Irrfan is not an unfamiliar name in the global film circuit. In 2001 his “The Warrior”, a historical film made by Landon based director Asif Kapadia, stormed in international film festivals and made people take notice of him. His colleagues feel that Irrfan’s grounded personality is the key to his success. “There is a thing about Irrfan which will take him to very far in life is his talent and his down to earth nature. No amount of success goes to his head. He is a very grounded person,” Anurag Basu, who worked with him in “Metro”, told IANS. He has one more international project called “Partition” in his kitty. Next on his wish list is to find a foothold in Bollywood masala films. “For me it’s important to be commercially viable. The distributors should be willing to pay for my space. I still have very limited choice… So what’s the point of being known as a good actor when you need to be recognised as commercially saleable? I want a better deal,” said Irrfan. But at the same time he is looking forward to churn out more milestones like “Maqbool”, “Warrior”, “Haasil” and “Namesake”. He said: “It’s been a long journey. But I’ve a long way to go. What more, Salman has nicely wrapped the paintings and wants SRK to take a look at them, only after he moves into his new six-storey apartment just behind Mannat. The story goes that Salman has wanted to shower gifts on Shah Rukh before he moves to his new apartment. That's when he decided to purchase two life-size canvasses from London. Says a source close to the actor, "Salmanbhai has just gifted two huge paintings to Shah Rukh. These are made by him especially for his new place, which is coming up behind Mannat." Obviously, Shah Rukh is pleasantly surprised at this gesture and has been telling his friends about it. A close friend of SRK says, "Yes, I knew that Salman had been working on a painting for Shah Rukh. He has gifted Shah Rukh two big paintings. Of course, Shah Rukh is extremely happy with the gift. In fact, Shah Rukh Khan is glad that Salman is pursuing his hobby with such passion. He has expressed this on several occasions." Salim Khan further adds, "Which father wouldn't be happy to see that his own child possesses this kind of talent? As far as the painting is concerned, he has been doing it for a while. Aamir is still looking for an actress to play the second leading lady. The cast and the crew has been filming for two weeks now, however, he is yet to finalise an actress for the role. Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut (who have been in the news for dilly-dallying over Kajri) may not be exactly on his wish-list. The big news is that Khan is now considering Konkona Sen Sharma. Sources from the sets say, “We have been shooting pretty well. The only obstacle has been that we are yet to zero in our second leading lady. Kangana is definitely, not going to be a part of the film. Priyanka has been on the list for some time now. The latest addition is Konkona Sen Sharma. We require the second lead actress in many scenes.” It’s a lesser-known fact that Konkona has been extremely keen on working with Aamir Khan. She has made it apparent during interviews in the past. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line. A source close to the actress says, “They have been talking for a while. Nothing has been finalised as of now.” When quizzed about it, Aamir’s spokesperson says, “There is no stress as such but he is yet to finalise the other heroine. wichy: отсюда - превью на новый фильм Фары Кхан с участием ШРК. Credit must be given to Farah Khan for going with the nostalgia evoking title, “Om Shanti Om” for her second directorial venture. The first thing that comes to mind upon hearing that title is an image of Rishi Kapoor dancing on a giant spinning record trying not to trip on his wide bell bottom pants in Shubhash Ghai’s “Karz”. That classic tale of reincarnation and a killer in the form of Simi Garewal has been burned into the collective memory of any Indian who grew up during that time. Going for the built in intrinsic nostalgic value of the title, Farah Khan has chosen a reincarnation theme for her second film. The story centers on an artist who grows up in the seventies (perhaps watching Karz), meets the love of his life and shortly thereafter suffers an untimely demise. He is immediately reincarnated and the story flash-forwards to the present day. Haunted by the memories of his past life and love, he attempts to not only solve the mystery of his death, but also reunite with the love of his past life. The movie is apparently “inspired” by the Hollywood movie, “Chances Are” wherein a man is reincarnated and immediately attempts to find the wife from his previous life. The problem is that she is now much older than him and does not believe that he is the reincarnation of the man she once loved. The music for the film was to have been composed by A.R. Rahman, but he wanted 33 percent of the music rights/profits, so T-Series balked and ended their discussions with him. Instead, the music baton was handed to maestros Vishal-Shekhar (Dus, Honeymoon Private LTD, Bluffmaster). The addition of these two-music directors will be a bonus as it adds to the anticipation of this follow-up project to Main Hoon Na (Farah Khan’s directorial debut). One does wonder, why Farah did not go with Anu Malik this time, as his soundtrack to Main Hoon Na was a blockbuster. Still, we are guaranteed a fresh sounding soundtrack with Vishal-Shekhar and hopefully no reincarnated music. The master poet Gulzar will write lyrics. Special mention must be made that Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder (director of Jaan E Mann) will be handling the editing on this movie as he did on Main Hoon Na. Also, apparently Skakira, who is a big fan of SRK and is acquainted with Farah as a choreographer, is in talks to make an appearance. The movie features Shah Rukh Khan as the lead and introduces supermodel Deepika Padukone as the main love interest. The supporting cast includes Arjun Rampal (Don) and Shreyas Talpade (Iqbal, Dor). Both SRK and Deepika Padukone are getting rave reviews for their performances in the dailies. The actor to watch out for though, is the talented Shreyas Talpade. One can expect that the movie will be in the same tone as Main Hoon Na, and will be a light hearted romp with excellent music. Only time will tell whether this reincarnated movie will please the movie going audience. Музыку к фильму сначала написал Рахман, он хотел 33 процента прибыли от саунтдрека, а T-Series не согласились на это и обратились к Вишалу-Шекхару. Гульзар написал слова песен. Специального упоминания заслуживает муж Фары Шириш Кундер, который был режиссером фильма, как и в Main Hoon Na. Также возможно в фильме будет спешл эпиранс Шакиры, которая сотрудничала с Фарой в плане хореографии. Главная роль в фильме у Шаха. Супермодель Дипика Падуконе - его возлюбленная. How did Khoya Khoya Chand happen? I was approached by the casting director, Shanu. She told me about the script and was honest enough to tell me that it wasn’t a lead role. But I don’t have an issue with lead or supporting roles. For me it has to be something challenging, different from what I have done before, a new character altogether. I was interested so I went to Mumbai. This was the first time that I auditioned for a film after Taj Mahal . Sudhir thought that I was right for the role of Ratan Bala and we started shooting in October. Ratan Bala is a unique name. Tell us more about her My name in the film is Ratan Bala. She’s a movie star of 1940s, an established actress who is very well known. She’s a bit of a diva. And it’s the struggle that she goes through to remain in the industry, because in those days after hitting mid 20s you were considered to be old and you would have to settle down, you couldn’t be part of the industry. That’s what the industry was all about. It’s about how she struggles to remain there, to be famous, to be loved and to be admired. It’s quite an interesting and complex character, because you see her in the beginning as someone who’s a diva who throws tantrums. Then you see a soft side of her of someone who wants to be loved and cared truly. It was quite interesting to play this role. Do you think there is a real side to her character? I think that’s something that most actress experience when they are someone famous in the industry to someone who’s not given the same importance as they were at the peak of their career. It’s always something difficult, you age and you have to age gracefully. And that’s the whole challenge to be able to do it gracefully; a lot of people find it difficult to do so. Firstly I wanted to work with Sudhir Mishra. Secondly the character was different from the one that I had played. Mumtaz was from the royal family and it was a very historical role. This is also a period film, it’s about the 1950s and it’s about the Bollywood industry but its closer to our time. The main reason was because my grandmother Noor Jehan used to be part of the industry before partition. I have lived with her as a child and I always dreamt that I would be able to be like her. So for me it was exploring what life was for her and how the industry was in those days. That’s what interested me. Taj Mahal was a historical, and Khoya Khoya also has a period setting. Do you think you were offered this character because of your first film? No, I don’t think so because I was also offered films based on modern times. I don’t think there’s a stereotype for me but I was really keen on doing this. More so to experience what the industry was all about during the 1940s. How was it working with Sudhir Mishra? Brilliant! He spent a lot of time with the actors. He is so enthusiastic and passionate about the script and each and every character. He really explains and takes you through the whole scene. He also lets you try out different things and is very open to discussing scenes and having discussions. That was very nice. Who are you paired opposite in the film? The lead is Soha Ali Khan and Shiney Ahuja. It’s the Bollywood industry so everyone is interrelated but it’s a love story between Soha and Shiney and it’s the struggle that I am going through to be recognized in the industry. So I am trying to take Soha’s place. She is playing this young starlet. It’s an insight to what the industry is all about. There’s a movie being shot within the movie, so there are some scenes in black and white. There’s a lot of treatment. It’s very different to what people have seen in Indian cinema. The film is set in 1940s, is your character based on a real personality? When I had to do some research on this, I had to see the work of Nargis and Madhubala. Those are the main characters which Sudhir wanted me to look into and study. The characters are inspired by certain actors but they are all fictional. Like my character Ratan Bala is inspired by different actors of that time. So your character is not based on a real actor of the 1940s? No I don’t think so.
