So we had to recreate a very Pakistani ambience to shoot the commercial at a Mumbai mall." Informs a source close to the actor, "Ever since Awarapan released in Pakistan, Emraan has been getting offers to do commercials for Pakistani products." Emraan has also been offered films here. "But Emraan is not in a hurry to take up any random projects. Even for this ad, he took almost one-and-a-half months to decide," he adds. Zeeshan Yousaf, the marketing head of the cellphone company, when contacted, said, "Awarapan is the only Hindi film released in Pakistan, so Emraan Hashmi is a rising star in Pakistan and has developed a fan following. Since our product is a rising one too, we chose Emraan to endorse it." When asked if the company is looking at other Indian actors also, Zeeshan said, "Yes we have been talking to some stars and within a month will be coming back to India to sign one of them." When quizzed about preferring to shoot the commerical in India and not Pakistan he said, "It is much easier and the team in India is much more professional."

We've heard that to achieve this, they have announced a film almost immediately. This time the film is titled Cobra. Incidentally, even Abhishek Bachchan will be part of the film. According to reliable sources, "Amitabh Bachchan was always very sceptical about Aag and throughout the making of the film he was unsure of his role in the film. Amitabh's worst fear came true when the film was rejected outright by the critics as well as the audience. But both have decided to put the controversy behind and move on. Both Ramu and Bachchan have decided to go ahead and announce another film together. And quickly. The film has been titled Cobra and will also star Abhishek Bachchan who apparently loved Ramu's version of Sholay." Adds our source, "Although Big B has given dates to Ramu in January, don't be surprised it the two announce the film immediately and start shooting by next month. By announcing Cobra, they are planning to refute the rumours that Bachchan is unhappy with Aag. Cobra will also have one of the leading Khans playing a vital role. The name is yet to be finalised." Incidentally, seven days of shooting for Sarkar Raj is also pending and of these seven days, Amitabh Bachchan needs to shoot at least for two days more. But Big B has not yet given dates for this. While Ramu messaged us denying the fact, Amitabh Bachchan remained unavailable for comment. We're well aware of topnotch stars like Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and many others featuring in a pivotal song in this keenly anticipated film, but there's more to look forward to. SRK and director Farah Khan have roped in Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan as well, not for the song in question, but a scene preceding the talked-about star-studded song. However, the three actors have yet to shoot for the film. “That's true,” Farah confirms the development. Why aren't the three part of the famed song? “In the film, the three are the final contenders for the Filmfare Best Actor Award and since they lose the award to SRK, it would look odd if we showed them sing and dance in the post-awards celebration party-song,” she clarifies. Meanwhile, SRK and Farah have decided to launch the music of the film with pomp and gaiety on 18th September at a suburban hotel. On the personal front, Farah has started supervising the post-production work from the cool comforts of her home and there's a valid reason for it. Че-то они там мудрят... здесь A story this morning informs Amitabh Bachchan and director Ram Gopal Varma that they're collaborating on a film called –hold your breath—Cobra. Before we all begin to hiss hysterically, here's the catch. Neither of the two parties supposedly involved in the project have ever heard of any film called Cobra. Nor are they planning to work on any film by that title. Ramu who has taken the debacle of Aag on his chin is amused. "I don’t have any film called Cobra with Mr Bachchan and Abhishek in mind. I hate snakes, except when Sridevi plays one in Nagin. Both the Bachchans have completed their work fully on Sarkar 2. I haven't even registered the title Cobra, so I don't see where the confusion comes from." The Bachchan’s next collaborative effort will be Time Machine. "Some time next year. That requires a lot of planning. After AagI need to watch my steps," Ramu jokes. Mr. Bachchan also denies any knowledge of any project called Cobra. "I guess the papers sometimes know things about my projects that neither me nor my director are aware of."

In fact, we did crosscheck with UTV on several occasions and till last week were told to maintain the same date. But the colossal historical has finally moved ahead. As things stand today, the film would make it in December/January, not before that. Reportedly, a few days shooting is going on currently. “The new release date is yet to be locked,” Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV confirms. Meanwhile, UTV has preponed the release date of DHAN DHANA DHAN… GOAL. The film was slated for release in December, but will arrive earlier, on October 26. Incidentally, another John Abraham starrer NO SMOKING is also arriving on this date. Will the two John starrers clash with each other, is to be seen. Reportedly, Bhansali will make the official announcement once he’s through with SAAWARIYA. True? Bela is non-committal. “What should I answer? I am not in a position to reveal anything at this stage. But, seriously, where did you hear this?” she smiles. We can’t reveal our sources, Bela. “Well, I’d love to work with Adnan. But I wouldn’t like to talk about my film right now. Sanjay will make the official announcement when the time is right. He’s currently too involved with SAAWARIYA.” After a pause, however, she does talk about her film. “All I can say is that the film will have a simple story and will be made from the heart,” Bela states. It must be recalled that Bela had directed the videos of Adnan’s album, which starred a string of leading ladies from Bollywood. If the news is indeed true, Adnan will be the second composer – singer, after Himesh Reshammiya, to be launched on the big screen in the recent times. With Nadeem supposedly shifting base to Dubai to be closer home and get working on his new assignments, there has been keen interest building around the film. No doubt, the music is expected to be special for reasons more than one. First and foremost, it would be after two years that the composer duo would be creating music together. Their last outing together was for Suneel Darshan's Dosti - Friends Forever (2005) which boasted of a popular soundtrack. Secondly, it would bring them together with the Bhatts with whom they have delivered super successful albums like Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Sadak, Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Kasoor and of course Raaz in the last decade and a half. Last but not the least, the film stars Emraan Hashmi who has rarely gone wrong when it comes to featuring in chartbuster tracks. Whether it is delivering hits with Himesh Reshammiya (Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Aksar, Dil Diya Hai) or enjoying musical successes with Bhatts in each of his films like Murder, Zeher, Kalyug, Gangster and most recently Awarapan, Emraan Hashmi has always hit the right notes musically. Says Emraan Hashmi, "I am aware about the huge expectations that audiences would be having from the music of Raaz 2. After all it has Bhatts and Nadeem Shravan coming together after years." When released, Raaz was a big musical blockbuster. This Vikram Bhatt directed musical-horror-thriller boasted of some chart topping songs like 'Tum Agar Saamne', 'Jo Bhi Kasmein', 'Aapke Pyaar Mein', 'Kitna Pyaara Hain' and 'Itna Main Chahoon Tujhe'. Tell Emraan that audience would be expecting nothing less than a blockbuster soundtrack with the coming together of this team that has seldom failed musically and he replies modestly, "We all know that the music of Raaz was a big hit and is heard even till date. I am sure that the sequel would break further grounds with the return of Nadeem Shravan. Also with Bhatts, the world is aware about their strong hold over the music of their films. I am sure they would go all out to make sure that the return of Nadeem-Shravan is indeed worthwhile." Shooting of Raaz 2 is expected to begin once Emraan wraps up Kunal Deshmukh directed Jannat which is yet again produced by Mukesh Bhatt. While Raaz had Vikram Bhatt at the helm of affairs, the sequel has Mohit Suri being roped in by the Bhatts for his fifth film after Zeher, Kalyug, Woh Lamhe and Awarapan.
