Amita: Bachchans in Buddha? IndiaGlitz [Friday, February 22, 2008] Seems like almost all the directors these days want to make at least one historical film for themselves. A few days back there was news doing the rounds that Shyam Benegal, who has many Indian and international awards to his credit was going to make a film on Buddha, and there were talks going on with the Roshan scion Hrithik for doing the protagonist’s role. It was later reported that the director was in the very early stages of scripting the story and that he has not met or spoken to any hero regarding the role yet, but considered that Hrithik would be an apt choice of this role. The rumor mills were also spinning with the news that another NRI director Pan Nalin was going to make Buddha, and talks were going on with Aishwarya Rai to act as Yasodhara, Buddha’s wife, because this story will be directed from Yasodhara’s angle. Well, there are more reports on this front. It is reported that Pan Nalin is in talks with Mahindra & Mahindra Group which is going to diverge into the movie business. There is news doing the rounds that the director, Pan Nalin, wants stars with global acclaim for his film and that he would want to direct Amithab and the Bachchan Bahu, Aishwarya as King Shudhodhana and Yasodhara respectively in the film. No news has being emerging from the Bachchan parivar though regarding this. В его последнем интервью три дня назад, он сказал, что да, очень хочу Айшварию на эту роль, но.. буду снимать ту актрису, которая сумеет выделить для съемок время именно в этом году. Из чего я сделала вывод, что у айшварии нет свободных дат для него и в этом проблема, а ждать он не намерен. Он зарубежом снимает, как я понимаю. Во Франции вроде ошивается больше. Сам индииец.
Maya-srk: Rani Mukherjee all set to marry Aditya Chopra? 28th Feb 2008 09.01 IST By Agencies Reports are that Rani Mukherjee is all set to marry Aditya Chopra , now that he has filed for divorce. The divorce between Aditya and Payal Khanna will be final in May and that is when the director is all set to tie the knot with Rani. In the meantime, Aditya and Payal are living out the mandatory six-month separation period. “Once the divorce is signed, both Rani and Adi are eager to tie the knot,” reveals a close family friend. “Though there have been rumours that they are already engaged, that is all untrue. Adi was very particular about getting the divorce first before formalising anything else,” he says. Once all the legalities of the divorce are settled, the couple plans to have a grand wedding in Mumbai. But right now, Aditya still has to deal with his father Yash Chopra and mom Pamela who are still said to be head over heels so much in love with Payal, that they have refused to accept Rani. Sources close to the family reveal that the situation had become so bad that Chopra senior had asked his son to walk away from the Rs 1,000 crore Yashraj Films empire, which Aditya has played huge part in building. On the other hand, Payal was gifted a plush bungalow in Khar, Mumbai, by her in-laws and after the divorce she will get Rs 25 crore as alimony. Presently, Aditya is reportedly staying in a five star hotel and Rani moved into her own apartment at Janaki Kutir because it’s not just the Chopras who disapprove of their son’s alliance, Rani’s parents aren’t thrilled with it either. “Even Rani’s parents are not very happy about the alliance,” says a prominent director and a close friend of the actress. “That’s why Rani had to move out.” Months back, the news of their engagement has hit the headlines but then both of them declared it baseless. Kajol has now gone on record to say that she has turned down the project, which was earlier turned down by her co-star and friend Shah Rukh Khan, for obvious reasons. She has reportedly allocated the same dates to Karan Johar's next. News is that Kareena Kapoor has accepted Kajol's reject, due to her long time desire of working with the perfectionist Khan. Well, whichever movie Kajol chooses or has chosen, we are sure that she will do full justice to her role, and meanwhile we are looking to see her back on screen this April with hubby Devgan's U, ME AUR HUM. Каджол официально отказалась от проекта (который до нее отверг Шарик). Говорит, что она уже отдала эти даты Каранчику. Теперь в проекте вроде как участвует Карина, которая давненько охотилась за Амиром.
