Unlike her contemporaries that started around the same time, Ash has bagged several plum projects. Already announced are Vipul Shah's Action Replay (with Akshay Kumar), Mani Ratnam's Raven (with Abhishek Bachchan and Govinda), Robot (with Rajnikanth) and Dhun (with Abhishek, again). However, in a recent interview with the Times of India, Ash revealed that she has several other films lined up with prestigious directors. The most exciting announcement of all is that Aishwarya will be working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali yet again, with whom she delivered some of her best performances in Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It should also be noted that Filmfare recently reported that Hrithik Roshan will feature in Bhansali's next. Could this mean that the magical pair will appear yet again on-screen? The endearing Munnabhai-Circuit pair will now be seen together in another film apart from Raj Kumar Hirani's Munnabhai Chale Amrika. A source close to Sanjay said, “Having resolved to give up always playing a gangster, Baba (as Sanjay is fondly called) wants to explore the goofy tragic-comic aspect of his personality that the two Munnabhai films tapped so effectively. In fact, EMI’s producers Suniel Shetty and Ekta Kapoor are ardent fans of Sanju and they specially designed the character of Sattarbhai in EMI as a tribute to Sanju’s Munnabhai.” Dharam Oberoi, CEO of Sanjay Dutt’s production company confirmed the news and said, “Johnny Johnny Yes Papa is a comedy. The idea of bringing Baba and Arshad together is definitely a dhamaka. Amita: By IANS | October 11, 2008 Mumbai/New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) Friends and colleagues of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan have wished him speedy recovery as he was admitted to a Mumbai hospital Saturday with severe abdominal pain.Amitabh was celebrating his 66th birthday with his family at his Prateeksha residence when he complained of severe pain. Though the reason for the stomach pain is still unclear, most colleagues feel it could be due to overwork. Music director-singer Shekhar Ravijani of Vishal-Shekhar duo, who had recently accompanied the actor on their worldwide Unforgettable concert tour, told IANS that he had called the family to check up on Amitabh's health and there was nothing to worry about. “We have called up and checked. Everything is fine. Otherwise we would have been with him. He has just gone to the hospital for a routine check up. Nothing serious,” said Shekhar. “It's his birthday today. It's so sad that he has to be in hospital! My brave soldier, excellent co-star should get well very soon. Maybe it has happened due to the workload, but you can't stop him from working hard because it is in his nature,” actress Nafisa Ali, who has played Amitabh's wife in “Major Saab”, said. Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi, who shared screen space with the actor in a song “Masti bhari raat hai” in “Mrityudaata” in 1997, feels the same. He said: “It might be due to exertion. With the kind of profession we are in, it requires loads of travelling, assignments, shoots and erratic food timings that do take a toll on a person's body. “Amitabh-ji is a very energetic person but maybe because of stress and workload, he has fallen ill. My good wishes are with him.” Aman Verma, who essayed the role of his son in two films - “Baghban” and “Baabul”, feels the veteran's illness is due to his “stressful life”. “Why are you all hyping it up? Let's all be positive about the issue. He is a man above 65 years of age and it could just be a mild case of food poisoning. “He works a lot. Maybe this illness is a combination of fatigue and stress or maybe he ate something that did not suit his body. I hope he gets well soon as we all need him around,” Aman said. “Amitabh is a fighter,” says filmmaker Ravi Chopra, who has directed the actor in most of his films including “Baghban”, “Baabul” and “Bhoothnath” among the recent ones. “I am very sure that he will be okay. You cannot say that stress and workload is responsible for this because work is something that keeps him healthy,” he said. Actress Shefali Shah, who played his wife in “Waqt: The Race Against Time” and was also in his most recent release “The Last Lear”, was unaware of the actor's illness when IANS contacted her. “I am not aware of his illness but I hope he gets well soon. Amita: On birthday, Amitabh Bachchan hospitalised, under observation By IANS | October 11, 2008 Mumbai, Oct 11 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who tunred 66 Saturday, was rushed to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai's Vile Parle (West) suburb following abdominal pain and then shifted to the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra where he was under observation.A spokesman for the Lilavati hospital said Saturday afternoon that the megastar was undergoing various medical tests, but declined to divulge more details. However, unofficial sources indicated he might be required to spend at least a couple of days in hospital. Bachchan, who was in the midst of his birthday celebrations at his bungalow Pratiksha in Juhu, was rushed to the Nanavati Hospital early Saturday afternoon after complaining of abdominal pain and breathlessness. Nanavati Hospital medical superintendent A. Hatolkar said he had been brought there as an outpatient by his family physician and underwent a "preliminary medical examination". Describing it as a "routine check-up", Hatolkar declined to reveal details. From the Nanavati Hospital, barely a kilometre from his Juhu home, Bachchan was taken in a private emergency medical care van to Lilavati Hospital, at Bandra Reclamation area. Jayant Barve, who has been treating the members of the Bachchan family, is heading a medical team taking care of Big B. Bachchan had been experiencing abdominal uneasiness since late Friday night, but the actual causes shall be known later. His wife Jaya, daughter Shweta Nanda, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya accompanied him to the Lilavati Hospital. As news of Amitabh's illness spread, a large crowd gathered outside the hospital to wish him a speedy recovery. Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh who was here to take part in Bachchan's birthday celebrations called on him later at the hospital.
